How to get to nab Camas
From Lochcarron
Start in Lochcarron Village. Turn left at the end of the long main street on a road signed North Strome and Ardeneaskan. Continue for about 4 miles, and pass North Strome. Soon after, the road dips down around a small bay, and rises steeply beyond it. Cross a cattle grid, and pass on the left a white house called Lecanashie Cottage. Immediately beyond it on the left is a drive with the house signs Junipers and Foxgloves. Do not be deterred by these suburban names, and drive in. In about 30 yards you reach the Nab Camas gate. Drive down slowly: it is very steep and has a hairpin bend near the bottom. Not recommended for motor cycles.
Via A9 and Inverness
Head towards Perth. If coming from Glsgow the A80,M80 and A9 Will bring you to Perth. If coming from Edinburgh the Forth road bridge and M90 will take you to perth. on this route exit at junction 10 to get onto the A9. At perth take the ring road north until the Inveralmond Roundabout. Then take the second exit A9 towards Inverness. Take this road all the way to Inverness, about 110 miles. (Inverness is the last large settlement you will pass so it may be worth stopping to buy food provisions or fuel.)
When you reach inverness continue to follow the A9 towards Wick, Thurso and Ullapool. You will cross a suspension bridge over the Moray Firth. At the first roundabout after the suspension bridge take the A835 towards Ullapool. After about 5 miles you will come to another roundabout. Continue to follow the A835 by taking the second exit. Follow the A835 for about 12 miles. Turn off on the A832 towards Achnasheen and Gairloch. Take this road for about 20 miles until you reach the Hamlet of Achnasheen and a Roundabout. Take the first exit, marked Lochcarron, and follow the road until you reach Lochcarron village. (see below for how to Reach the house from Lochcarron).
Via A82 and Fort William
From Glasgow follow the M8 West until reaching junction 30 Where you will need to take the M898 towards the Erskine Bridge. one you have crossed the Erskine Bridge Take a left onto the A82 towards Dumbarton and Crainlarich. Stay on the A82 to Crainlarich. Turn left at Crainlarich to stay on the A82 to Fort William.
At Form william take signs to Inverness staying on the A82 road. at Spean Bridge Continue to follow the A82. At Invergarry keep Turn left onto the A87. Take this road to the end where you will turn left continuing to follow the A87. About 30 Miles further on take a right to follow the A890 towards Lochcarron. Follow this road to the T junction and turn left towards Lochcarron which is 2 miles down the road.
